Reclaiming Strategic Assets

Australia is not for sale. Yet for decades, we've allowed key ports, energy infrastructure, land, and even data systems to fall into foreign hands. It's time to take back control of our essential assets — because national security starts with ownership.

The Problem

From Darwin Port to major agribusinesses, energy grids, land, and even water licenses — Australia has sold off too much, too cheaply, with too little oversight. These aren’t just economic decisions — they’re strategic vulnerabilities. We cannot defend what we do not own. And we cannot shape the future if we’ve already signed away its building blocks.

Why It Matters

Strategic assets underpin our sovereignty. When we allow foreign interests — especially those linked to authoritarian regimes — to control our ports, power, farmland, and data, we lose more than profit. We lose leverage. We lose independence. Reclaiming control is not about isolation — it’s about security, dignity, and responsibility.

The Fair Go Plan

  • Audit all foreign-owned infrastructure and strategic land holdings — make the full list public.
  • Reclaim critical infrastructure: ports, energy grids, data centres, and water assets.
  • Ban future foreign ownership of land, food supply chains, and national transport networks.
  • Establish a National Sovereign Assets Register — to track, report, and safeguard vital resources.
  • Provide tax and investment incentives to bring Australian ownership back to core sectors.
  • Restore strategic mineral and energy processing capabilities onshore under Australian control.

Sovereignty Begins with Ownership

We cannot afford to keep selling off our future. We must act with courage to buy back what matters, and protect it for the generations to come. If we don’t own it — we can’t defend it.
