Fuel & Energy Independence
Australia must never again be at the mercy of foreign fuel, unreliable energy imports, or political energy theatre. We are a resource-rich nation — and it's time we act like it. Our power should come from our soil, our sun, our people.
The Problem
Australia imports over 90% of its fuel. We’ve shut down nearly all domestic oil refineries. We rely on foreign-owned energy markets, and now we’re being told blackouts and price spikes are just “part of the transition.” This isn’t transition — it’s surrender. Our power grid is fragile. Our sovereignty is at risk. Our future depends on breaking this cycle of dependency.
Why It Matters
Without fuel, nothing moves. No freight. No food. No emergency services. No defence. Without reliable energy, homes go dark, hospitals shut down, and our economy freezes. Energy sovereignty is not a luxury — it's the foundation of national survival. Australians deserve an energy system that is affordable, secure, and built for us — not for profit-hungry multinationals or ideological experiments.
The Fair Go Plan
- Re-establish and expand Australia’s domestic oil refining capability.
- Mandate a 90-day national fuel reserve — stored, managed, and controlled onshore.
- Support nuclear energy exploration with strong safeguards and public oversight.
- Strengthen the national grid using diverse sources — gas, hydro, solar, modular nuclear.
- Crack down on retail energy market manipulation and restore price transparency.
- Support regional microgrids for farming, defence, and emergency resilience.
A Sovereign Nation Runs on Sovereign Power
We’re not anti-renewables. We’re anti-dependency. We want a future powered by Australian hands, Australian resources, and Australian values. This is energy built for the people — not for profit, not for foreign control.
